It's Here! It's Here!

I have received my summons and start on February 5th. I've begun charging my iPod and DS Lite and am organizing all my arts & crafts projects to take along. My briefcase already has my playing cards so I just need to pack my Uno deck, a book, and some snacks and I'm set!

Oh, how I love thee, Jury Duty! Two free days of forced alone time and the potential to be selected for a trial! Swoon!

Believe it or not, I have never been called for jury duty. Do you really have so much free time that you can take all that stuff with you and get a chance to use it? Wow!

(I have nightmares about being on a sequestered jury.)

I had jury duty this summer, and after complaining and complaining about it, I went and I actually quite enjoyed myself for the same reasons...and the people watching gave me serious blog material!

Grace, you and I are two peas in a pod. I used to bitch about jury duty and came to realize it is the best thing ever invented.

And Kim, yes, you sit for hours on end with absolutely NOTHING to do. It is perfect. Move to the city, vote, and in a few months, you too can be rewarded with forced free time in a cheerless room! Unlike you, I dream of being sequestered.
